William Wilson-Edgar Allan Poe

This is the story of a man who can be named as a normal person, in fact we can said he was one person in two different man, although our character never realized it until he had killed the other part of his being and in consequence until he had killed himself.

William Wilson the name of our character can be describe as a man whose nature was really strong and that was what made him to be always considered as a leadership for his friends and for the people who was around him, except one person, who was always behind the back of William Wilson. They knew each other in the first years of school, earlier William Wilson discovered many particularities in the boy whose name was the same of himself, but it wasn´t the only one characteristic that joined them, in fact booth boy had many things in common, both physical and psychological, and as I have said the namesake of our character was the only one who could stop him in his actions, in fact the relation between they was troubled and although William Wilson’s namesake never tried to get the position of leadership that characterized to William Wilson he had enough power to do it, and our character knew it, that’s why he sometimes heated him and even feared him but also he felt respect for him, it was until the last day that William Wilson had been in the school that he saw something that shook him; the last night he was going to be at the school, he decided to play his namesake the last joke, so he went to his room while he was sleeping but at the moment he got closed the lamp to the face of his namesake he could see it was like his own face, the only thing he could do was to run away , at the next day he had lived the school, for some years he forgot about his namesake and he lived a very good, lazy and easy life and he also become to developed a new skill which although it injured to other people, he just keep doing it, this ability was to cheat people.

The problems stared when his past came to his reality and destroyed his present; it was when his namesake, his being appeared to him and everything went down. It was one night, time before he entered to the Oxford University and before he stared cheating when his namesake appeared to him like a shadow warming him with out word just with the movement of his finger. Time passed and the moment to affront the half of his being arrived.

One night when William Wilson was ready to cheat someone really important and with a big amount of money, the shadow of his enemy appeared and destroyed his plans showed to the people who were there his real nature. William Wilson leaved everything were he could be knew and stared again, of course with his ability, but it wasn´t a wall that could stop his namesake, in fact everything that William Wilson did, his namesake stopped, he was like his shadow, many occasions after William Wilson had been stopped he decided to end with his problems, so the last occasion we can said something about William Wilson was when as usual when William Wilson was ready to do something evil (in that occasion it was to seduce a married lady), his namesake arrived but that time William Wilson didn´t escaped, he affronted him and got out his sword, ready to fight and to kill his opponent, the same did his namesake, and after some minutes of fight William Wilson get the victory but at the same time he lost the fight and with few word his namesake said goodbye and gave him the notice of his new reality or the inexistence of that one. He said “You have won, and have lost. But, from now on you too are dead- dead to the world, to heaven, and to Hope! You existed in me- and this body is your own. See how completely you have, trough my death, murdered yourself.”
